Keeping up with the increasingly complicated needs of clients who come to us for help is a constant challenge. That is why we are devoting time and energy to training volunteers in counselling skills.
Our approach consists of three stages:
- General listening/counselling skills training accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) who draw on contemporary research and reflect best practice in both counselling and counselling training and are the largest accrediting body for counselling courses in the UK.
- Specialist training for our particular client group;
- Ongoing professional development and supervision for our volunteers. We open the first two stages of training to anyone who meets the appropriate entry requirements.
Our aim is that the volunteer practitioners who see clients will, as a minimum, have either this certificate or its equivalent of 90 guided learning hours.
If you are interested in any training we will be offering in the near future please contact Letitia on 01603 482732 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
